Itinerary

1

Your driver will meet you at your accommodation (or preferred pick-up point) at 9.00 am to start the transfer to Imlil. On your way you will pass through the town of Tahnaout where you can stop at an Argan Oil Co-operative and learn how the woman of the co-operative turn the Argan nut into many of the different Argan Oil-based products Morocco is famous for. You will then continue on through Asni where, on Saturdays, a traditional Berber Souk and market can be visited. Once you arrive in Imlil you will stop for a welcome glass of mint tea and meet your guide before commencing your tour of the local area. Your guide will help you decide on the length of your tour (you can choose between 1 and 3 hours) and then you will make your way to the largest and highest village in Imlil Valley. Once you are rested you will begin your return trip down the other side of the valley to Taourirt to meet your vehicle. Your return transfer will take you via Moulay Brahim Gorges, where you will arrive at a main trailhead with streams and paths branching out in all directions. Here you will have the opportunity to experience riding a camel. You will then continue your journey back to Marrakech, arriving back at approximately 6.00 pm.

Wonderful day excursion for our family

Mohmad Amjif was our guide today and was fabulous. He was attentive to our group, helped when help was needed, and offered amazing hospitality. We even had lunch at his family’s house in the Atlas Mountains! (It was delicious). He drove very safely and overall the trip and experience was fantastic. When one of my daughters had enough hiking he drove the van to pick her up while the others continued to hike. Ando travel was very good at communicating. 100% recommend and if we ever return to the area we will be repeat customers.

Beautiful hike/views, amazing home cooked meal and wonderful guides! Thank you!!!!

This was the best experience in Morocco so far! The driver Mohamed Amjif came early, was a wonderful guide, connected us with a fantastic hiking guide Yasin, and his mother cooked us a beautiful home cooked meal. Can’t recommend this experience enough. Thank you Mohamed for your hospitality and everything you did on this experience.

Extraordinary!

Our excursion was extraordinary. The driver was on time. We first did the very pleasant camel ride! Neither too short nor too long. Then, we visited the women's cooperative that produces argan oil. It was a nice experience but a little too touristy for our taste. Then we were dropped off for our hike with our guide MOHAMMED who was amazing. We walked with him to a few small villages where he provided us with detailed information about everything. We were then welcomed on a terrace for a very good traditional dinner with breathtaking views of the Imlil valley and the snow-covered High Atlas mountains. After dinner, we went hiking with Mohammed and we had very human contact. The authentic Moroccan contact that we wanted to have in the Atlas. This day will forever remain grave in our hearts. Thank you very much Mohammed for making our day extraordinary. We highly recommend Ando Travel and our hiking guide Mohammed. See you soon. André, Karla, Lucie

An AMAZING Honeymoon trip!

My wife and I went on this trip today - it was incredible. Mohamed was a knowledgeable and funny guide, who frequently stopped at key viewpoints to take photos of us and explain what we could see. The Camel riding was exciting, and we spent 40 minutes on the Camel (again with plenty of photos being included). After some Moroccan tea, we then went to visit the Berber village of Imlil, where we were invited into Mohamed's home and treated to a wonderful three course meal with a view of Mount Toubkal, 2000m above sea level. He then took us to see the local waterfall (down several steps!!). We then made our way back, via several other local stops. Couldn't recommend highly enough- we had a wonderful day.

Not to be missed 😍

Amazing! We had such a fantastic day in the Atlas Mountains. Our guide and driver were delightful and keen to share lots of information. The lunch was delicious. The mint tea and walnuts overlooking Mount Toubkal was so pretty. We loved seeing the camels and going for a little trek. My teenaged daughter loved it.
