Traveler reviews
A great half day riding from the city centre to the beachside suburbs were the locals live and play. Highly recommended
Our guide Jim was very informative and enthusiastic. A great half day trip exploring parts of Athens outside the city centre. It was great to see the locals out and about at the National Library Complex and on the beaches. Highly recommended as a break from walking the marble streets of Plaka.
Great tour
Dimitris was top, bikes were ebikes which made the experience smooth & restful, beach visit was refreshing
A brilliant tour, thank you so much!
We went on this tour earlier today and it was fantastic! As other reviewers have mentioned, it takes you past the main city highlights and then out to the suburbs and the coast which are much less crowded and chaotic! Dimitris was without doubt the best guide I’ve had on any tour, ever! Friendly, charismatic, knowledgeable and really kind - I was quite nervous as I’m not a regular cyclist but he put me at ease. Thank you!
Fantastic - a must on your Athens visit
Dimitris was our guide and what a fantastic guide he was too, funny, charasmatic, interesting and knowledgeable. It was a small group, really friendly and we were taken round a variety of historic sights which ended at the beach. On the way back we stopped at a bakery and sampled some delicious savoury food and sweet pastries (explained to us as a 'fuel stop' by Dimitris). Bikes I couldn't fault. I am a keen cyclist and regular spinner and was expecting these bikes to be maintained to a mediocre level. I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth they all were, clearly very well looked after. I personally didn't need the assist as it was not a difficult cycle but you have the option of adding an electrical assist from 1-5 so this tour caters for all levels, there was one 79 year old on the tour and he managed fine and my wife is not a confident cyclist and she did too. Dimitris always ensured he kept the whole group together and included regular stops. Please don't let a lack of fitness or cycling put you off this tour. Thank you Dimitris for a fantastic day out.
That's great!
The tour has a pleasant length, also suitable for little riders, because the bikes are really good! Plus sun, warmth and carolis - what more could you want. Karolis knows a lot about Athens, always has an answer, manages to involve everyone - a great guide! We noticed very positively that everyone we dealt with, from buying tickets to chatting with the other guides, everyone has visible fun doing what they do. We would have missed something if we hadn't done the tour. Thanks to the whole team!
