Feedback on discriminatory experience

I’m writing to share an unpleasant and disappointing experience I had at your event recently. When I arrived, I was trying to purchase a ticket online, but your website wasn’t functioning properly, it kept flagging my address and ZIP code as “invalid,” even though address wasn’t required for the purchase, and my ZIP code is in Harris County. When I approached the front desk, the staff member there responded in a dismissive and condescending tone, asking, “What kind of card do you have?” and implying that the issue might be because my card was “foreign.” I found this comment deeply inappropriate. My nationality or the origin of my credit card should have no bearing on whether I can attend an art show and purchase a ticket. Btw, my card is a Chase credit card. When I expressed that concern, the staff member began offering unrelated justifications and making uncomfortable remarks about “the human experience” and nationality, and how she gets approach for looking Canadian, which only made the situation worse. The interaction came across as both offensive and discriminatory. In today’s social and political climate, it’s especially important for public cultural events like The Art Show to foster an environment of inclusivity and respect. I hope you take this feedback seriously and ensure your staff receive appropriate training on cultural sensitivity and customer service.

Great Experience

The art museum was a great experience. The immersive exhibits were captivating and interesting. I would recommend them even for someone who is not really into art.
