The best day of my trip
The southern Armenia tour with Hyur Service was the absolute highlight of my time in the country. We visited Khor Virap with its breathtaking views of Mount Ararat, the stunning red-rock canyon of Noravank, and finally Tatev Monastery — reached by the spectacular Wings of Tatev cable car and perched dramatically on the cliff’s edge. An unforgettable day from start to finish. What made it special, though, was Tamara. She has a real gift for storytelling — the kind of guide who doesn’t just recite dates but pulls you into the history until you actually feel it. Curious, generous with her time, and clearly in love with her country, she even arranged for me to stop at the Areni-1 cave, where I learned about the astonishingly ancient roots of winemaking in Armenia — a detour I’d never have thought to ask for and won’t forget. It’s a long day of driving, but she kept the energy up the whole way, even with a few sweet treats along the road to keep me going. By the end I felt I understood Armenia, not just seen it.
Awesome !
Awesome trip made even better by our guide Marina and bus driver Levon !
Travel with Lavon and Nina to Tatev
Awesome ride with the extremely delicate driver Lavon, who drove a comfortable bus like a cruiser, accompanied by the virtuoso guide Nina, who magically led a parallel tour in two languages, managing to be original and interesting for both Russian-speaking tourists and the English-speaking part of the group. For the trip, we visited Choir Virap - the best place to capture Ararat (and that's the true truth), the amazing Noravanck, popped to a superb dinner with the extremely welcoming owner of a home cafe, tables breaking down with treats and drinks. Next we went to the cable car "Wings of Tatev", where we got to the real fairy tale. The Tatev Monastery, in the sunset, appeared to us as a real treasure. No words can convey the full range of feelings and emotions, much less photographs. You just have to see it. I strongly recommend the tour to those who are not afraid of long hours of travel and long to see more during their stay in Armenia than Republic Square and Vernissage in Yerevan. I would like to thank guide Nina separately for the wonderful atmosphere throughout the trip, the extremely fascinating narratives about the locations of our trip and the openness to any questions. Thank you very much, we will definitely be back!
Amazing Armenia
Had a wonderful private day tour of Khor virap monastery and Tatev. Arekel, who drove us was very good, informative and jovial.
Highly Recommend Hratch
We were lucky enough to have Hratch as our driver during our trip, and we can only recommend him wholeheartedly. Punctual, highly professional, and always in good spirits, he made every ride pleasant and stress-free. He's also genuinely kind and pleasant to be around, which made the whole experience even better. Thanks again, Hratch — you made our trip so much better!
