Itinerary
We start our beautiful day by collecting you at your accommodation in Cape Town between 8:30 and 9:30am. After all pick ups have been completed, we will drive along the N1 for approximately 2 hours before we reach the game reserve in the little karoo. Along the way, your expert tour guide driver will tell you the history surrounding the areas and towns which you will see along the way.
Aquila Reserve is a private game reserve with a limit as to the number of animals they are allowed to keep and cannot be compared to a national park like the Kruger. We cannot guarantee that you will see all the animals during your game drive as this is dependent on nature. Upon arrival at Aquila, you will receive a welcome drink. Then you will proceed to the restaurant where a full buffet lunch will be served. Soon after lunch, you will embark on a 2 to 3-hour game drive in an open truck or 4x4 with a small group, depending on the truck size. Look out for Big 5 animals as well as smaller animals, including lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, hippo, buffalo, giraffe, zebra.
After this amazing experience you will meet your tour guide and depart for your return journey to Cape Town. Drop off will be back at your accommodation.

Indescribable experience I can recommend to anyone
Amazing experience from start to finiish
Our driver Jeff Mathenga started the experience very well on our drive to the reserve he was very knowledgeable. The Aquila reserve is beautiful. There was even a performance during the delicious buffet lunch. Our guide on the safari was new but had so much knowledge and was really funny. We got close to lions, zebras, rhinos, a family of giraffes, buffaloes…. Perfect
Great experience
We had a really good experience with this activity. The transfer to the reserve was uncomplicated and our driver Gordon was really the best! He was nice, fun and reliable. He texted on the evening before so we knew at what time he would arrive and kept us updated. On the way he gave us some infos about the surrounding and we could ask questions but also just enjoy the drive. At the reserve everything is well organized. Because of the weather we had to stop the safari but were able to go again when the rain stopped and even though it wasn’t in the timetable anymore Gordon waited for us, which we really appreciated
Amazing experience for first safari!
Brilliant experience. Since the moment of the transfer with Gordon, and the entire day at the safari. Good price for time spent, the 2hours transfer from Cape Town and the amazing lunch! Good environment. Thanks again to Gordon for waiting for us a few more hours due to unexpected hail storm so safari had to stop.
