Amazing Tour of Appleton Estate
We're here celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and booked to tour Appleton Estates Rum. The guide, Peter, was fantastic! He clearly knew his stuff, the rumours tour, tasting, the education... we had a most amazing time!

Let me tell you something. Peter the tour guide at Appleton estate was as warm and funny as my father. BRILLIANT tour! Filled with laughs and lots of information that I did and didn’t know! 100/10 will definitely recommend
Good tour, bad food!
The excursion itself is good; the visit to the Black River and YS Falls is quite rewarding, as is the visit to the Appleton rum factory. However, lunch at the Appleton factory canteen is very poor. Rice and chicken in minimal quantities, with no chance of seconds. I was left with a chicken wing and half a thigh, and naturally, I was still hungry!
Jamaica Me Happy
The Black River cruise was amazing seeing the crocodiles up close and able to touch them. They seemed to be semi-tamed. And to see the exotic birds and to see a fisherman’s catches of blue crabs. The YS Falls were exhilarating. The falls looked treacherous at first but the guides were very experienced and the rocks weren’t slippery like I expected. We had an elderly couple that was with us and they did not back out of anything we were doing. Shouts out to Deb and Jim! The Distillery Rum tour was excellent. Very informative. Rum punch was out of this world. Wish we could have more rum samples. I highly recommend this tour. Just be ready for a bumpy ride. Roads many potholes!
If i coild leave zero...
If i coild leave zero stars I would. We unfortunately did NOT get to experience our excursion. The trip was booked, funds deducted and scheduled. Literally 12 hours before we were supposed to be picked up I received a call stating that the trip was cancelled due to not enough people signed up( mind you this was not stated prior to booking). They tried to reschedule for the weekend which i told them repeatedly that we were leaving out Thursday to return home. They claimed that a full refund would be issued. Over night the funds were drawn from the account, reservation marked to confirmed and message sent to be in hotel lobby at 9am. No one arrived to pick us up. Going through customer service, no answer one the phone and customer chat we were rescheduled yet again for Saturday when we will not be here. Highly disappointed in the treatment received by customer service and the whole experience. Will not ve using Viator ever again!
