After an hour journey, you'll arrive in Annecy, dubbed the ‘Venice of the Alps'. Follow your guide on a 1-hour walking tour of charming Annecy Old Town.
Take this opportunity to snap some pictures of the iconic Palais de l’Isle, a 12th century castle that's a symbol of the town, and the dominating castle of Annecy, once the residence of the Bishop of Geneva.

Our half-day tour to...
Our half-day tour to Annecy was very enjoyable, largely thanks to our incredible guide, Gabriel. He provided fascinating historical facts on the drive and during a short walking tour through the Old Town. My only complaint is that I had originally booked the later morning tour (which would have made our free time coincide better with the running times of the 30 and 60 minute boat rides around part of the lake—which would have been absolutely lovely to go on), but that tour was canceled about a day before our booking (with the option to join an earlier morning tour on the day of the original booking or an earlier morning tour on a different day). The Old Town area of Annecy is charming but somewhat overrun with tourist shops and we didn’t spend much time there. The walkway along the river, though, is lovely and peaceful and worth the trip if you have time to spare.
Short ride to Annecy....
Short ride to Annecy. Guide was very knowledgeable. Gave us a short tour round the town and then we had free time. Lovely little town and the lake is beautiful. Very quick trip with about 2 hours free time
Annecy is worth the trip.
The tour guide was good, but there was not a lot of information to relay. Annecy is lovely, but it is no Venice.

Great experience, short bus ride to Annecy from Geneva, and our guide Gabriel was so incredibly kind, informative and funny. He is part of Key Tours, I specifically would enjoy future guided tours with him.
