Things to improve from the excursion

The kas isala restaurants are very precarious and do not seem clean. The boats are also quite rudimentary. The excellent guide

Unforgettable experience

The guide Alexia took us to live a unique experience, accompanied us all the way and with her stories made the day very enjoyable, thank you for this unforgettable experience. Congratulations.

Worth it

The beaches had a lot of people, considering that ilha has several, they should offer not so crowded or larger beaches. I also wish I could have done less downhill and spent more time on the beaches. The tour service was good, Alexia as a guide is the most and the driver William tmb.

Constructive criticism

Overall, good experience, but some things left to be desired. The support of the top of the boat was with screws missing and even so everyone was backing up, the glass of the boat's bathroom window was broken. Outside of that the boat was good, with normal weather signs. The bus microphone didn't work right, it was hard to hear all the instructions. The whole part in English for my boyfriend he couldn't understand. At the end of the tour, we left the boat and did not have instructions from the guide where to gather, while other guides indicated where to gather. Most people spoke Spanish, so most of the passage the guide spoke that language and most of the songs on the boat too. Few people spoke English and the guide didn't even pay attention to them. The food in the restaurant was extremely simple and the dishes were all dirty. Many tourists complained both Brazilians and foreigners. A lady even argued with her guide about it. That's a constructive criticism and I hope things get better. We had a lot of fun, but it could be improved.

Beautiful scenery, but English speakers beware

This is the second experience I booked through Viator that advertised an English guide where one was not provided. I do not speak Portuguese. When I travel, for this reason, I book excursions where English is provided as I enjoy learning about the places I am visiting. This tour started off with English/Spanish/Portuguese on the bus. But once we reached Angra, I was placed on a speedboat with another guide who spoke NO ENGLISH and I was with him and 18 passengers for 5 hours with no directions. This was horrible for safety reasons! And also scary not being able to tell what was going on or what we were seeing. For example, we would be given time to swim from the boat to snorkel but I could tell tell the perimeter I was supposed to keep, or the time to return. The positive of the day was that the water and scenery were beautiful. To add insult to the isolation of my day, I asked for a partial refund and it was not granted. No reason given. If you pay for an English tour, and are not given one, you should not have to pay full price! I deserved the same experience as the other boaters who knew what was going on and who were safe. My advice is, if you don't speak Portuguese, do not book this excursion.
