Traveler reviews
Great tour, great food, and terrible service at lunch
We were picked up by our driver, who expertly navigated us thru the streets of naples to Herculaneum, where we were met by one of the best guides ever--Lallo was enthusiastic, energetic, entertaining, and supremely knowledgeable. He took us into the runs and made us feel the life in the historic town, as well as the horror of the day in 79AD. We were informed, entertained, and enthusiastic for more. Bravo, Lallo. And then we were driven to the second part of the tour, where we ascended the final slope of the dormant volcano, Vesuvius. It was pretty gritty and hot and sunny, but my 79 yo mom and I made it to the top in about 45 minutes, enjoying the view of the crater, and the view of the Naples Bay on the other side of the trail. We then stopped at a local restaurant for excellent food, but terrible service.
