Itinerary
We will start this experience from centrally located hotels.
Our adventure begins with a visit to the impressive Ahu Vaihu and Akahanga, where the stone temples and moai ensembles will transport you to the ancient Rapa Nui culture. See the majesty of the ocean crashing against the cliffs at Ahu Vaihu, and immerse yourself in the timeless atmosphere of Ahu Akahanga, which remains in its original state since the days of the first explorers.
We will continue our trip to the mystical volcanic crater of Rano Raraku, where the enigmatic moais were carved. Here, among the surreal landscapes and ancient history, you will discover around 397 unfinished sculptures that still remain as silent witnesses of the artisanal skill of the island's ancient inhabitants.
Then we will visit Ahu Tongariki, a 200-meter long ceremonial platform that has 15 huge moais. We will also visit Ahu Te Pito Kura where the Moai Paro is located, which is 10 meters high and weighs 85 tons. In this place, we will also find a large spherical stone that is identified as the navel of the world, called "Te Pito or Te Henua".
In this ceremonial center, you will find the largest moai ever built, Moai Paro, standing 10 meters tall and weighing 85 tons, along with the famous spherical stone "Te Pito o Te Henua," known as the “navel of the world.”
To cap off our day of exploration, we will relax on the paradisiacal Anakena Beach, known for its natural beauty and its moais facing the coast. Here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch on the beach (not included) while marveling at the unique landscape that this place offers.
Pass by: At the end, we will return to the center of Hanga Roa or to your hotel, where you can reflect on the unforgettable experiences you have had during this day on magical Easter Island.

Traveler reviews
Must Do in Rapa Nui!
We had a short period of time and wanted to see the most we possibly could during our time on Rapa Nui. Im SO glad we did THIS trip! We learned a lot more about the island, its mystery, its proud heritage and history. We saw iconic Moai and were guided on what not to miss. It was an incredible experience I strongly recommend.
Great Tour, Recommended.
My pickup went smoothly, my hotel advised me of pickup details when I checked in as the company had already been in touch with them to advise. Our guide was Merahi and she was very knowledgeable about her subject and happy to answer any questions about Rapa Nui history and culture past - and present. Thanks very much to Merahi for a great introductory tour of Easter Island.
super
Ahu Ature Huki – several sculptures located in Rapa Nui National Park. So far it has not been confirmed how the inhabitants of the time brought the sculptures to this place. Anakena beach – a small sandy beach. There are only two beaches on the island. This beach was perfect: few people, the water was pleasant and the weather hot.
significantly overpriced tour by Viator
I would like to provide comments in relation to this tour which was purchased on 19 November 2023. Booking this tour, Viator charged me USD $313.76 or USD$156.88 per person. As per the itinerary of the tour we expected that we would be picked up from the hotel but your message was saying that we need to be at the Mahinatur office at 9am. When we came to the company office we found out that there are 2 prices for the tour: 60,000 peso without a lunch or 60,000/913=USD$66 per person 80,000 peso with a lunch or USD$88 person. We expected that our payment of US$156.88 pp will definitely cover the expenses for the lunch. Unfortunately, the tour operator said to us that our booking does not include the lunch. The above mentioned means that you have significantly overpriced the tour fee by almost 2.5 times. Booking numerous tours in the world, I have never seen so high overpricing. Could you please explain why the overpricing is so extremely high? Obviously the related information will be posted in the Trip Advisor site. We were on a very long trip in South America with too many tours but this had been the biggest disappointment for how we were treated by your company. Yes, we perfectly understand that the tour price should be higher than buying the same tour directly. But definitely, it should not be so high. I will never ever buy any tour via your company. I would appreciate if the points made above are addressed please.
Worthwhile place to visit. But, transportation, accommodations, airport and police requirements are a BIG HASSLE.
The visit to the volcano was great. I was disappointed that my all-day tour was cancelled. They did not want to return my money. Instead, they offer me half day tours without lunch. I was told I was going to receive reimbursement that day, but nobody knew about it, I had to go to my hotel to get money for my lunch. Because my tour was split, they did not pick me up from my hotel. I had to walk to a place to join the group.
