Taking the museum experience to soaring new heights, the Gilder Center showcases: The year-round Davis Family Butterfly Vivarium with up to 1,000 free-flying butterflies. The Susan and Peter J. Solomon Family Insectarium, a gallery devoted to Earth’s most diverse and abundant animal group and home of the largest leafcutter ant colony in the US. Floor-to-ceiling displays of the Museum’s scientific collections spread out across three levels help us understand the natural world and global cultures.
