Travel Back in Time at Pompeii
Your adventure starts with an early departure from Rome. After a comfortable bus ride to Pompeii you’ll be led by a certified archaeologist standing in places where Roman life has been preserved in time. Imagine walking through stone streets, forums, and even brothels.

The Amalfi Coast Awaits
Now, it’s time for a dose of la dolce vita. You’ll wind your way through the coastal roads, with cliffside views and the scent of salt air guiding you to Positano. Here, you’ll have two hours to soak it all in. Sip limoncello on a sun-drenched terrace, explore local boutiques, or indulge in fresh seafood by the sea.

Please note: In the low season (November through March), most of the businesses in Positano town close, making the town rather uneventful to visit. During this time, we will visit Sorrento instead, where you'll have plenty of options for lunch and shopping.

The order of the itinerary may be reversed, with some tours visiting the Amalfi Coast in the morning and Pompeii in the afternoon. No matter where you go first, you'll still enjoy a relaxing and seamless day trip.

The town you visit will depend on the season and weather - Positano, Amalfi (town), or Sorrento.
Luggage and/or strollers are not allowed on this tour as there is no extra storage space on the vehicle.
If you are traveling with a young child and need a car seat, please contact our Guest Experience department prior to your tour.

Know before you go

This tour is in English.
This is a walking tour. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty.
The tour meeting time is 15 minutes prior to the start time. No refunds or re-bookings can be provided for late arrivals or no-shows.
Your guide will provide lunch recommendations once you reach the Amalfi coast for lunch on your own (not included in the tour price).

We encourage a swim on the beach in Positano during your free time should the weather be nice. If you are so inclined, please bring a bathing suit and towel.

Cancellation policy

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the activity starts

Cancellations received greater than 72 hours prior to tour commencement are fully refundable. Cancellations received within 72 hours of tour commencement are nonrefundable. Amendment requests are subject to availability and price changes. Late arrivals and no shows are nonrefundable. This is applicable to any tour participant that fails to arrive, or arrives after tour departure.
