Alone in the Duomo: VIP After-Hours Tour with Dome Climb & Private Terrace Access

Meet your guide and group in the busy piazza outside the Florence cathedral to kick off your VIP Duomo tour. After the church itself closes, the last few public guests of the day will still be lining up outside to make their way up to the dome. You’ll skip past the line and head straight into the magnificent church to begin exploring right away.  

 Your first stop: the top of the dome. Together with your guide, you’ll climb the 463 steps to the magnificent viewpoint at the top. In addition to enjoying striking views of the city in the late afternoon light, you’ll also hear unforgettable insights about the now-iconic structure and how it came to be.  
 Next, you’ll head down to the cathedral terraces, a rarely visited site that will be open just for our group of 19 people. These stunning spots are perfect for admiring the beauty of the dome up close, a perspective not available to most visitors.   

 Finally, you’ll make your way downstairs into the heart of the cathedral, where all public guests will have left for the day. A stark contrast from the bustle of activity when we first arrived, you’ll now have the space to appreciate the gorgeous architecture with nobody else in your way. Cap off your VIP Duomo tour with an introduction to the Key Master himself. You’ll watch him turn off the lights and lock the doors for the day: a moment witnessed by only a privileged few that now includes yourself. Your tour also includes tickets (valid for 72 hours after tour) allowing you to visit other monuments like the Opera Duomo Museum, Baptistery of San Giovanni, Crypt of Santa Reparata and Giotto´s Tower on your own.
