Full description
Once inside, your guide will lead you through the empty palace and reveal the secrets behind its history, architecture, and notable figures. Explore the spaces where King Ferdinand, Queen Isabella and Christopher Columbus made plans for the latter’s journey to the New World, and learn about the influence King Peter I had on the palace as we know it today. You’ll find that it’s easy to fully appreciate the palace's architectural and artistic treasures without the crowds.
After exploring the palace, head outside to take a peaceful stroll through the gardens. Over the centuries, each monarch who used the Alcazar expanded the gardens to their current size of seven hectares (17 acres). Today, they're home to many exotic species of trees, flowers, and plants as well as some friendly peacocks.
Please Note: The Alcazar gardens may be closed for various reasons: rain, wind, maintenance or restoration works. The tour is never shortened under these circumstances, and we extend the visit inside the palaces instead.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour, your guide will be holding a green Walks sign. This tour meets at Plaza del Triunfo, 41004, Seville. The guide will be waiting by the big statue of the Immaculate Virgin in the centre of the square.

- This tour is in English.
- We are able to accomodate guests with mobility impairment or wheelcharis, please make sure to email our Guest Experience team at info@takewalks.com at the time of your booking for proper arrangements.
- This is a walking tour. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty.

- Although the gardens are not the main highlight of the Alcazar, they are often closed due to weather conditions (rain or wind), maintenance, or restoration work. In such cases, the tour is never shortened; instead, the visit inside the palaces is extended.
Know before you go
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour start time for check-in. Out of courtesy to other guests, we’re unable to wait for latecomers. No refunds can be provided for late arrivals or no-shows.
- For guest with mobility impairments, the Alcazar has many tiny steps that make the monument hard to navigate in a wheelchair, but it can be done. Please contact our Guest Experience team at info@takewalks.com after booking the tour so we can arrange your visit.
- It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water.
- In the Alcazar, backpacks must be worn at the front to avoid damaging the tiles.

Cancellation policy
Cancellations received greater than 24 hours prior to tour commencement are fully refundable. Cancellations received within 24 hours of tour commencement are nonrefundable. Amendment requests are subject to availability and price changes. Late arrivals and no shows are nonrefundable. This is applicable to any tour participant that fails to arrive, or arrives after tour departure.

If you’re reading this, book it now! You’ll be one of the first on the boat and get the best spot before anyone else. Daniela (aka “Daniel”) treated us exceptionally well from start to finish. Her knowledge of the falls and the stories behind them was the perfect balance of informative and entertaining.
