Alhambra & Nazaries Palaces Day Trip from Seville

Manuela was very good with her explanations. It was a very illuminating information. L’Alahambra castle did not disappoint.

We had the departure scheduled for 6:50 am, which they changed a day before and only sent me an email. There wasn't much of a problem because they moved it to 9 am that same day, which meant that we only got up very early for nothing. I suggest being on the lookout for your email every day at all times even while on vacation because even if you provide them with a cell phone number they will not call you or send a message to that number and you will only receive an email if there is something to inform you about your tour. But that was the least of it. We scheduled a tour in Spanish, I suppose they didn't gather enough people in our language to do the tour and they joined us with a very large group in English. Therefore the guide Carlos said everything in English and only 40% said it in Spanish, but none of that mattered because nobody, NOBODY, understood what he was saying, regardless of the language he said it in, and it wasn't just my family, we asked other people who were doing the tour and nobody was understanding what he was saying even the other guides at the place asked him to repeat what he was saying. He also didn't give good instructions on where we were meeting to go to the next place, or at what time. I don't think anyone at Naturanda has realized that he is not understood when he speaks and even so he continues to be a tour guide. What I really liked was when another guide gave us the tour inside the Alhambra. The place is incredible, I just would have liked the tour inside to last a little longer. We were in Seville and only found that Naturanda took you to Granada; we took a risk even after reading all the negative comments and decided on it that way for the group members for an easier transfer instead of moving on our own and hiring a guide on-site. In short, Naturanda has many guides, I hope you don't get Carlos because you won't understand anything, the buses are very good and always check your email at all times, the Alhambra is a place you have to go to and it doesn't have to be only with Naturanda.

Good experience, better to get it with the ticket to the Alhambra, we couldn't do it because there were no tickets left but the experience was good. The tour operators were very good including the driver

The bus was comfortable. The guides were knowledgeable and tour was great. I learned a lot about the history of southern Spain and the prominent role the Muslims played during that time. The melding of Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures explains the uniqueness of Spanish culture. Bring your passports.

What a mess. Started with a call yesterday to say we would be delayed 2 hours with no clear answer as to why. We arrived well before the new time at the meeting place only to stand around for an additional hour. The tour guide that accompanied us to Granada was so soft spoken we couldn’t hear her. Of course she had no ear phone equipment available. Upon arrival at Grenada we went for a very short visit to an old Muslim fort ( don’t ask which one as we couldn’t hear the tour guide especially out in the busy neighborhood without any audio equipment). Next we sat down at a filthy neighborhood bar for a lunch hour that lasted twice the length of the old fort tour. During the long lunch hour we managed to loose an elderly couple. The tour guide had not bothered to do a by name head count prior to this so she had no clue as to who the couple was that went missing. Still don’t know what happened to them. After the lunch hour we sat in traffic for an hour and half instead of the planned 30 minutes travel time resulting in we arrived at the Alhambra well past our scheduled entrance time. As a result we only got a 1 hour rush through part of the Alhambra instead of the planned three hour full tour through all parts. In the end we paid $400 dollars for my wife and I to spend 20 minutes looking at an old Muslim fort wall and a rush through a small portion of the Alhambra. I think this was a crime scene not a tour. I’m just not sure if the crime was robbery of tourists for promising to tour all these areas and then not coming through; or elderly abuse by loosing two old folks somewhere in Grenada.
