Costly for the experience
We did Alcatraz first, and I was surprised that this was a completely independent tour. We had a lot of time between returning from Alcatraz and being picked up for the tour. The driver told us a lot about the area on our way to Muir Woods. The admission to Muir Woods is not included in the tour, so we were glad to have a National Park pass to get in. We were there for one hour. The Sausalito stop was about an hour long as well. We had time to stop at a fantastic Mexican restaurant for tacos and a great margarita. I felt this tour was costly for the experience.
Watch your wallet
Very high chance you pay twice if you book with viator. Van fill of people, the ones that used viator had to pay twice for muir woods. Pretty good racket they got going

Fabulous experience, highly recommend, Alcatraz has a lot of History for many different reasons and Muir Woods was beautiful and very peaceful.

Viator was very flexible with our changing cruise ship arrival time. Tatya was over the top excellent. She gave us very useful information, she was knowledgeable, entertaining, and had a very bubbly personality. Magic Muir Woods, Sausilito and Alcatraz tour
My Mum and I loved this experience with Ben, our driver and guide. First stop was Golden Gate for some photos. Then it was onto Muir Woods which is an absolute must see for lovers of nature. Seeing those majestic redwoods soaring in the sky was amazing. We were even lucky enough to see a young deer walking through the woods. Next was Sausilito for a spot of lunch and wander around. Finally Ben shared tickets for the Alcatraz leg of the trip. We took the ferry across and got to explore the island. The audio tour was fascinating. What we particularly valued was having ample time at each place in the tour and it didn’t feel like we were stuck on a bus all day. Ben also shared his knowledge about the area.
