Itinerary
Unusual natural landscape These formations are priceless it takes thousands of years to create them
A rocky path between rugged mountain boulders The route through the gorge is characterised by thick vegetation and a particularly attractive, shady and moist environment. While hiking you can study the indigenous plants: lentisk (Pistacia lentiscus), Phoenician juniper (Juniperus phoenicea), terebinth (Pistacia terebinthus), thorny broom (Calycotome villosa), common smilax (Smilax aspera), oleander (Nerium oleander), storax (Styrax officinalis), and the endemic endangered Akamas centaury (Centaurea akamantis). The main species of fauna found in the area are: Mammals: Fox, hare, hedgehog. Birds: Cyprus wheatear (endemic), Cyprus warbler (endemic), scops owl (endemic), partridge, little owl, kestrel, wild pigeon. Reptiles: Stellion lizard. Amphibians: Marsh frog, iridescent frog, tree frog.
On a secluded beach away from hotels, shops, and any public facilities, the tiny wooden Lara Bay Turtle Conservation Station helps baby turtles hatch and head for the sea. Sometimes during hatching season, there will be water tanks with tiny sea turtles inside that have just come out of their eggs at the station. At other times, you'll encounter iron cages and signs scattered along the beach warning of turtle nests buried in the sand underneath. Cages protect them from predators such as birds and foxes.

A MUST if you are in paphos!!!
Mario is a brilliant guide, pick up was right on time and the whole trip was so enjoyable, he is so knowledgeable and experienced, very comfortable and gave us plenty of time to explore each area!!! Loved it, great laugh too 🤩
Great jeep adventure
Another great tour with this company, Mario was a great guide, both funny and informative he went out of his way to really show a great side of Cyprus.
Fantastic day out! Mario is a legand
We booked this trip for my birthday and it did not disappoint! Mario was amazing, very funny, knowledgable and knew all the secret tips to make the day fantastic. Nothing about the day felt rushed and we would highly recommend to anyone wanting a less “touristy” day out. Great value for money couldn’t have asked for anything else.
A great day
Super friendly driver. He told us a lot, we were on trails that can only be traveled by jeep or quad bike and came to all the highlights.
You Can't Always Get What You Want...
A great day out - I'd probably dock half a star as the guide didn't really introduce himself, and occasionally wanted to stay back while we adventured. But he also handled a situation with a very difficult (spoilt) passenger who didn't take into account that these tours need to be flexible when the weather gets extreme - just go with the flow, make friends, and have fun. P.S. always, I mean always take a coat and a towel. You can leave things in the jeep but the weather in Cyprus will turn corners quicker. Great tour, would recommend.
