Agadir Desert Adventure: 4-Day Merzouga & Erg Chebbi Tour

We booked the desert tour from Agadir to Merzouga. We are two young women aged 20. One day before departure, the driver introduced himself via WhatsApp and answered our questions. First day: We were picked up from our hotel on time, our drivers waited for us until we had breakfast. After being greeted by the two guides, we headed towards the Atlas Mountains and stopped again and again to take photos or learn something historical. We stopped for lunch at a small restaurant in the center of the city, the tour guides (Mohammed and Salmi) asked us if it was okay if we went to a traditional meal, we agreed and were even invited. We spend the night in a beautiful riad. Day 2: Drive to the desert, drive to the desert was very relaxed and very amusing, we could talk everywhere with Mohammed (Steve) and Salmi (Babba) and we even sang together. On the way we asked the tour guides if they knew a good place for a Hanna tattoo, Salmi (Babba) called relatives and asked if we could come by, we spent the whole afternoon with relatives of Salmi and got a nice Hanna tattoo. Her hospitality was very nice. After our stay we drove into the desert and spent the night in a luxurious desert camp (1 hour camel ride or by car). We were picked up from the camp by our guides and we headed towards the gorge, Salmi told us a lot of historical facts about the gorge and took photos of us and each other. We had lunch in a small restaurant that was very good and then drove on to our new riad which was also very nice. Day 4: After a good night we travelled home and visited an old town. Mohammed and Salmi accompanied us so that we did not have to pay too much if we wanted to buy something. After the visit we drove back to Agadir with several stops. About the tour guides Mohammed and Salmi: We had a very good relationship with them from day one, they welcomed us with joy and made sure we were well. When we got in and out, they opened and closed the doors for us. We got to play our own music in the car. During the 4 days we met and had good conversations, it never got boring, we always had a topic to talk about or discuss. Mohammed and Salmi also took care of us when we were at the desert camp and checked in the evening via WhatsApp to see if everything was fine. Lunch is not included, but the drivers invited us to dinner once or twice. Thanks to Mohammed and Salmi, we got to know Morocco from a different perspective, and that was because of the house call with the relatives. We chose our route with the tourgides independently. We miss our Babba (Salmi) and Mohammed (Steve ) already and look forward to another time.
