A Legendary Pharaonic Journey – 5 Stars for Memphis Tours!
If you want to experience Egypt with the perfect balance of seamless logistics and deep historical insight, Memphis Tours is the gold standard. From start to finish, the team ensured our trip was professional, educational, and absolutely unforgettable. The Management & Logistics: The coordination behind the scenes was flawless. Zakaria met us at the Aswan airport, welcoming us to the city and giving us an overview of what was to come. His hospitality made us feel like VIPs. The Expert Guides: A tour is only as impactful as the person telling the story, and we were fortunate to have one of the best: Azab Morssy was our phenomenal guide for the cruise and the temples of the south. His knowledge is encyclopedic, yet he makes history feel incredibly "human." He pointed out the fascinating "historical lasagna" of Luxor Temple—showing how it evolved through Egyptian, Greek, Roman, and Islamic eras—and led us through the stunning details of the Valley of the Kings. When the cruise was over and our Ancient History lessons were done, Ahmed escorted us from Luxor to our next stop in Hurghada. He was engaging and told us many things about the area on our drive. He also brought us lunch from one of his favorite Egyptian restaurants. It was absolutely delicious! The Highlights: Memphis Tours curated a truly spectacular itinerary. Standing before the massive scale of Abu Simbel (the ultimate tribute from Ramses II to Nefertari), walking the nearly 2-mile Avenue of the Sphinxes, and seeing the vibrant, preserved colors in Seti I’s tomb were absolute bucket-list moments. We also loved the classic experience of a sunset Felucca sail and the unique Crocodile Museum at Kom Ombo. The Verdict: For anyone planning a trip to Egypt do do a Nile cruise, Memphis Tours is the way to go. Ask for Azab—he won't just show you the ruins; he will bring the stones to life. Thank you to the entire team for an adventure we will never forget!
Absolutely not recommended
Booked cruise from Luxor to Aswan on the Internet through the site cruisesulnilo.com. We found out once we arrived that it is a brokerage agency that prepares, depending on the arrival and departure time of the flight of each individual customer, a personalized program of visits managed by Memphis. All good in the booking phase but terrible in practice. We were greeted by a Memphis operator who simply accompanied us on the boat and collected the balance but was completely unaware that in the afternoon the program included a visit to the Temple of Luxor which so jumped. The next morning the guides who spoke fluent Italian showed up but, although friendly and helpful, they were devoid of an actual cultural training and, above all, they were not Memphis employees but simple escorts hired by day and completely unaware of the program of visits provided for each individual customer for the simple fact that Menphis (or cruisesulnilo.com) had not provided it to them. As a result, skipped excursions or even forgotten tourists on the ship with guides left in disarray to face the complaints of tourists without the support of the presence of a Memphis operator that we had the pleasure of seeing again only on the day of departure. The ship (Hapi V) was dignified but modest with dated and resigned furnishings, certainly not five stars as cruisesulnilo.com had peddled (sending truthful photos but from which frankly the real conditions we had not perceived) and similar, even for the food service, to the ferries of linea.Internet for a fee (moreover often not working) as well as natural water during meals.Acceptable cabins but nothing more. In essence, an organization that is questionable to say the least with guides forced to do even the work not within their competence and probably remunerated more by tips from customers than by the compensation paid to them by Memphis. Absolutely not recommended.
Beautiful cruise on the Nile
Beautiful cognitive experience in Egitto.Ci enjoyed everything from food to Welcoming and kindness of all the staff. Special thanks to Suliman Habibi our guide who was able to explain with passion the history of ancient Egypt.
Royal Cleopatra and Abu Simbel Cruise
Journey through the secrets of ancient Egypt lulled by the waves of the Nile. The Dahabeya experience was magical. Four days in which everything was perfect: the welcome, the food, the rooms and all the spaces of the boat, always very nice and elegant. There is no better way to discover the temples and tombs of the past. Everything is perfectly organized, you just have to let it guide you. Special thanks to our guide who made the cruise unique and allowed us to get to know the Egyptian people a little better: Moaz, a fantastic person, very prepared, not intrusive and always ready to help us!
