Great tour experience
The 8-day tour was excellent. We got to see many of the interesting sights and experiences. We visited the ice cave, did glacier hike, whale watching, but only a couple dolphin sized whales were spotted, saw the puffin colony, diamond beach, Geysir, etc. We also did all the optional excursions including boat tour among icebergs, horseback riding, VOK bath, lava cave, these were great and interesting. The hotels we stayed at were generally good. Our guide Gylfi was excellent and funny; he made the trip more enjoyable. The tour was small (around 18-19 people) so it was good for time management. This tour is best for first time visitor to Iceland and wishing to see the best known sights and experiences on offer from Iceland.
Excellent!
Our guide (Jhon) was amazing! You can tell he loves what he does, and puts a lot of effort into making it the best experience. If you want the full package plus some, hes definitely your guy. I had a great time, no notes.
Best experience in Iceland - John is the guide you want!
If you want an amaizing experience with an amaizing guide...you've found it. Iceland is vast and a bit overwhelming if you've never been there before...there is a lot to do and see! I was immediately set at ease on day 1 with our tour guide John. He was on-time, well organized and laid out his plan for our trip as soon as we were all picked up. John has an unlimited well of knowledge and energy which made the entire experience that much more enjoyable. He did a great job of keeping us on time while letting us enjoy the incredible views and experiences Iceland has to offer! Plus, the bonus stops to let us see Iceland through his eyes were so special. Some of non-touristy stops made for the best memories honestly! We both learned so much about the culture, the history, the landscape and so much more from John duing our trip than I would have ever though possible. John being a geographer made the journey extra cool because he was able to explain and answer a lot of how and the why the landscapes came to look the way they did. John's passion for Iceland, his love for animals (I swear, they all come running up to him and greet him when we stop), geography and his desire to share his knowledge and teach makes him so wonderful as a tour guide and a person. And, he skips and dances and brings happiness whever he goes! You cant help but smile when in his presence! 10/10...would definitely book with John again!

Recommended!
The itinerary was rich and well-planned. The group of 12 people of 5 different nationalities was very punctual and collaborative. The excellent weather made every experience truly enjoyable. The Blue waterfall is fabulous, a real gem. The glacier excursions were very beautiful and well-guided. The hotels were all very good (the country hotels were delightful) except for one that was a bit old. Our driver Thales was truly welcoming and organized with the timing. However, I would have appreciated more information about the places and the history, in addition to his wonderful musical selection during the transfers. Upon arriving at the parking lots, he would point out the trails to us, but he only got out with us once. Regardless, he is a guy of exquisite kindness. His restaurant recommendations were excellent.. I would add a stop at the turf houses to the tour, which I had seen on a previous trip.
