I had a really good time on this tour. Was lucky to have met tour mates who were cool and friendly. And also lucky to have a good guide in Thor, who was attentive and always looked out for us, whether it’s ensuring we catch the best vantage points or sharing interesting facts about Iceland. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend Thor as your tour guide! Having never experienced a tour, it was so refreshing to have Thor as our guide. As a native to Iceland he added history, stories and knowledge of all the areas. He was perfect on timing, instructions and always helpful when needed. He was extremely patient, attentive and had a wonderful personality. I would 100% recommend the 8 day tour! It was an unforgettable experience. Days were packed with activities and sights. Most of the breakfast selections were good at the hotels .. Thor had multiple options while we were out. If there was one complaint, some of the lodging was a little like being in a hostel.

We did the 8 day troll.is trip around Iceland. It was a good trip. Our first 5 days were drizzly, but with a good coat and leggings we enjoyed ourselves. Particular highlights were the icebergs in the glacier lagoon, the glacier walk, puffins close up, the multitudes of waterfalls of all types, and the magnificent West country in the sun. From Akureyri on it was bluebird! Our guide Thor was brilliant. He was knowledgeable and answered practically every question put to him. He herded us around the place with care and compassion. Our accommodation was two star. This was an excellent trip, recommended!

Me and my brother had a fantastic experience during these 8days, most of them are well packed with 5-star unforgettable attractions. John, the guide, did a lot to help to reveal in-depth that amazing country - not only as a guide, but also as a professional geographer! We also were lucky with an amiable people in our group, gentle and intelligent! My recommendation - don't skip the 3 optional attractions - bathing, boating between the icebergs and lava cave. Also I recommend to rent waterproof cloths, they are of an excellent quality and its a good value deal.

The 8-day tour was excellent. We got to see many of the interesting sights and experiences. We visited the ice cave, did glacier hike, whale watching, but only a couple dolphin sized whales were spotted, saw the puffin colony, diamond beach, Geysir, etc. We also did all the optional excursions including boat tour among icebergs, horseback riding, VOK bath, lava cave, these were great and interesting. The hotels we stayed at were generally good. Our guide Gylfi was excellent and funny; he made the trip more enjoyable. The tour was small (around 18-19 people) so it was good for time management. This tour is best for first time visitor to Iceland and wishing to see the best known sights and experiences on offer from Iceland.
