Highly recommend this tour

So happy we decided on this tour. Our exceptional guide, Pat O Mara really made the trip special. The amount of history and information provided in a fun engaging manner while safely navigating the very narrow roads really added to the experience. The ability to get drive on the more narrow windy roads due to the smaller size of the bus allowed us to see some truly stunning scenery. So glad we didn't take a larger bus tour. The activities picked were varied, pace was good and all the travel time between locations was filled with stories and Irish history. The hotels were all good with some being excellent. It was great to be on a small tour (only 14 people) with so much flexibility that allowed Pat to get to know us and our interests and tailor the trip based on this information. He even found time in the itinerary for us to watch a hurley game when interest in this sport was expressed and offered alternatives to activities when available. Highly recommend.

Amazing Overland Ireland Adventure

A week full of exploration, learning, adventure, making friends and importantly having a bit of craic, ok, maybe a lot of craic. Our family had a wonderful time, and our expert guide Pat O Mara became a friend along with our travel group. We will be back!... ☘☘

INCREDIBLE!!

What an absolutely INCREDIBLE 8 day trip to beautiful Ireland! Overland made everything so easy and the excursions were all just perfect. It was our first time participating in a tour and we were a bit worried about not having enough alone time but everything is so well timed. We never felt rushed and my husband and I also enjoyed plenty of time to just explore on our own as well. We had 16 people in our group. On the 6th day, those who opted to not do the extra 2 days left so, we were down to 8. We really enjoyed getting to know everyone that we traveled with. The accommodations were excellent and we really loved each of the cities/towns that we visited in. Katarzyna (Kat) was our tour guide and driver and we cannot even begin to say how extremely incredible she is! She was so friendly, knowledgeable about each area and Irish traditional customs. She made excellent recommendations to everyone as far as food, places to go for music, special interests sights, etc. along each leg of our journey. She is full of energy and so much fun! We will miss her! My husband and I could not recommend Overland enough and, especially, this 8 day tour!

The Road Rose to Meet Us!!

We both enjoyed the Overland Ireland Emerald Explorer 8-day Tour. The group was just the right size (14 people) so that we quickly got to know each other and didn’t feel we were part of a crowd. Mark, our knowledgeable guide and very capable driver, was amazing. He quickly learned each of our interests and needs and went out of his way to address them, whether it related to golf, hurling or music. His personal stories, humorous anecdotes and passion for Ireland, added to the interesting historical and cultural information he provided. Accommodations were lovely, the sites we went to were varied (some truly awe-inspiring) and there was sufficient free time to further explore the areas we were in. Being fairly active people, but not wanting the full “adventure” option, we were pleased to still have enough opportunity to get out and explore the beautiful sites and towns we stopped at. Kudos to the people at Overland Ireland for putting the Itinerary together and a big “thank you” to Mark.

Wonderful holiday

I enjoyed the small group tour and Mark was an excellent guide. Great conversations on the bus on current and Irish history which I appreciated. Mark kept us informed on details of trip along the way. The sites we visited included unusual activities such as sheepdog farm but it was a highlight. Had plenty of time to tour on own as well as with the group. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.
