We had a great time with Peru Hop! We took the two day option from Lima to Paracas and back, purchasing the Golden Shadows Trek with the entertaining guide Mickey, as well as the included Islands Tour, the vineyard, the Dune Buggies You probably can purchase the separate elements for a cheaper price, but any extra was made well worth it by the organisation, information and care given to us. The WhatsApp group and app were very helpful for coordinating, and the guides George and Roberto was great in many ways, including being very clear on timings and locations when we left the bus. There isn't too much downtime when not on the road, but we found a few nice places to eat [Fresco Open Kitchen, Paracas (amazing food - we loved the octopus nigiri and the duck coconut curry) / Wild Olive Trattoria, Huacachina (good takeaway pizza for coach home)] and drink [Puerto Speciality Coffee, Paracas (right by meeting points and lovely paper cards with drinks for keepsakes - does get busy when yours arrive!)] Guides are very facilitating of stops for photographs and have amazing English and Spanish. They're also so quick to learn names/faces/origin countries and build a real rapport! Cons: - partner doesn't drink and the vineyard experience was less focused on the information and more on the fun drinking vibe (I liked this, but bear in mind if sober), plus the lovely touch of the parting salud in the desert could be even nicer for the non-drinkers if there was a nice lemon drink alternative. - knees touched the backs of seats in the first coach on day 1, so couldn't recline or spread out. A little cramped but okay as we weren't overnighting - sandboarding down dunes and dune buggying at speed over blind hills is an accident waiting to happen,, but we personally found the drivers skilled and had lots of fun Overall highly recommend p.s. don't pay more than 5 soles for a bandana
Peru Hop was a great choice for a two-day trip from Lima. Our tour guide, Juancho, was very organized, he made sure our experience was as seamless as possible. He is very attentive and is always available to answer any questions. The Paracas, Pisco tasting, and dune buggy experience was amazing!
We’ve had a great experience with Peru Hop. Gabriel, our guide, was excellent; very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. My wife and I did the ‘Get to Lima Quick’ tour, which meant the first night spent on the bus - this wasn’t the most enjoyable experience but Gabriel made sure we were as comfortable as possible and once we were through the night, the rest of the trip was amazing. We had a thoroughly great time and would definitely consider using Peru Hop again for future travels!
