The ultimate Outlander tour
Recently went on the 4-day Outlander tour with Rabbie’s. Was super fun! Really good planned tour with many stops and much to see. Plus points for our amazing guide Jim Divine who knew so much about Scottish history and made our trip extra special.
Trip of a lifetime! Thank you wonderful Jim Divine!!
We've just done the 4 day Outlander tour from Edinburgh with Jim Divine. I wish there was an option to give it ten stars! We have really had the most fantastic time. As Outlander fans, this was definitely a trip of a lifetime. What really made it so fantastic was being with a great bunch of people in our small group and our guide Jim who is just such a lovely man and made everyone feel so comfortable and looked after. His passion for this beautiful place really shines. I loved all of his interesting stories and history knowledge. He really is the kind of person you could just listen to all day. And we did! Haha! I didn't get out my kindle to read once because I was just so fascinated by the tales of Scottish history. My highlights were walking around the battlefield at Culloden which was hauntingly beautiful and of course seeing the locations from Outlander, Lallybroch, Blackness Castle, and Falkland. Also loved seeing all the Highland coos. What a treat. I would recommend to bring a decent lightweight rain coat and some waterproof trousers to throw on because the Highlands are a different climate every five minutes. We've had sun, rain, hail all within the same day. The accommodation in Inverness and Perth were great. Good breakfasts and friendly staff. I loved all the places we stopped for lunch. I was a little worried about this part because I have some weird dietary restrictions but there were always plenty of options on the menus. My mum is a little unsteady on her feet at times and there were a few little walks and steps but she managed and only had to do what she was comfortable with. It never felt too much. I really can't recommend this more highly. I think it should come with a health warning that you'll never want to leave Scotland. The only downside was that I touched every 4000 year old stone I could get my hands on and still seem to be solidly in 2026! We are already planning our next Rabbies Tour for next year. Thank you Jim, everyone in our group, and Rabbies for a wonderful experience. We loved every minute. Michelle and Sheila :)
Holiday 2026
Quite a fantastic planned tour, with great experiences, appropriate breaks, good accommodation and a great guide in Jim Divine as storyteller. Can be highly recommended.
The best ever outlander experience
Our 4-day Outlander tour was, without question, one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had, and Graham made it truly unforgettable. From the moment the tour began, Graham’s passion for Scotland and Outlander shone through. His knowledge was absolutely incredible—like travelling with a walking encyclopaedia! Whether he was sharing fascinating Scottish history, local legends, filming locations, or behind-the-scenes Outlander facts, every story brought the landscapes to life. Graham’s enthusiasm, humour, and warmth created such a wonderful atmosphere throughout the tour. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone had an amazing experience, and his love for Scotland was genuinely infectious. We learned so much, visited breathtaking places, and came away with a much deeper appreciation of both the country and the Outlander story. If you’re considering an Outlander tour, don’t hesitate—especially if Graham is your guide. This was a truly exceptional experience that we’ll be talking about for years to come. Thank you, Graham, for making our Scottish adventure so special! ❤️🏴📖✨
Outlander Experience Tour - disappointing!
I did the 1-day Outlander tour (wasn’t a dropdown option) on 5/5/26. We found this tour extremely disappointing. My mom and I love Outlander and thought this would be a highlight of our trip. Instead we were regaled with dry history ramblings by our tour guide Michael. He was training another guide, Lauren, who was lovely, but very difficult to hear over her crackling microphone. (Michael literally told Lauren “You can tailor the tour however you’d like and feel free to talk about what you find interesting.” Shouldn’t a tour be about what your customers find interesting?! Like…I don’t know, Outlander?) Michael claimed to have seen the show but barely mentioned Outlander. It would’ve been great to hear some fun facts or even do some trivia about the show. Instead it was a stream of consciousness about history he considered interesting. He spent more time recommending restaurants in Edinburgh than talking about Outlander. I dozed off a few times. Worse still, we were given so little time at all our stops. We stopped for lunch in Linlithgow and had to leave the pub before our food was brought out or we’d risk missing the bus ride to the next stop. Very lackluster and disappointing! I don’t know if it’s luck of the draw with the tour guide you get but I expected way more from Rabbie’s given their reputation. Waste of time and money.
