Elegant UNESCO Bordeaux Arrival
Arrive in Bordeaux and settle into your comfortable, centrally located hotel, the perfect base for exploring one of France’s most elegant cities. Step outside and you are quickly immersed in grand 18th‑century avenues, golden‑stone façades, and lively café terraces along the Garonne. Classified as a “City of Art and History” and listed by UNESCO for its remarkable urban ensemble, Bordeaux blends historic charm with a vibrant, contemporary food and wine scene.

Immersive Médoc Châteaux Day
Head out along the legendary Route des Châteaux into the Médoc, home to some of the world’s most famous Cabernet Sauvignon‑driven blends. As the city fades, rows of vines stretch toward the horizon and turreted châteaux appear one after another along the D2 road. Your expert driver‑guide leads you through three carefully selected estates, often in prestigious appellations such as Margaux, Saint‑Julien, Pauillac or Haut‑Médoc. At each stop, you walk the vineyards, visit the cellars, and follow the journey from grape to bottle before sitting down to guided tastings that highlight the character of each terroir. Between visits, there is time to pause for photos in front of legendary properties and enjoy the ever‑changing vineyard landscapes.

Right Bank & Saint‑Émilion Discovery
Another day takes you east, towards the gently rolling hills of the Right Bank and the storied vineyards around Saint‑Émilion. Here Merlot and Cabernet Franc dominate, giving wines known for their plush fruit and silky texture. You visit renowned Classified Growth châteaux in and around the Saint‑Émilion appellation, which might include neighbors in Pomerol, Fronsac or Lalande‑de‑Pomerol. In each winery, passionate hosts share the history of their estate, explain their viticulture and blending choices, and pour a generous selection of wines for you to compare styles.

Medieval Village & Free Time Charm
Of course, Saint‑Émilion is far more than its cellars. Perched on a limestone plateau and entirely surrounded by vines, the medieval village itself is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Narrow cobbled lanes, honey‑colored stone houses, monolithic churches and hidden cloisters create an almost storybook atmosphere. With your guide, you enjoy a walking tour that brings this history to life, then keep some free time to explore at your own pace, linger over lunch on a sunny terrace, or browse wine shops and artisan boutiques. Pre‑arranged tasting fees keep the day smooth and worry‑free, so you can simply relax and enjoy.

Gourmet Evenings in the City
Back in Bordeaux, your evenings are yours to savor the city. One night, a table is pre‑booked for you at a carefully chosen local restaurant, allowing you to experience firsthand why Bordeaux’s dining scene is now one of the most exciting in France. From creative neo‑bistros to intimate gastro‑bars, chefs are reimagining regional ingredients and pairing them with exceptional local wines. You only need to show up, sit down, and enjoy.

Smooth Farewell & Easy Departure
On your final morning, after breakfast at the hotel, a comfortable transfer takes you back to the airport or train station. With bags a little heavier from your new favorite bottles – and a head full of vineyard views, château visits, and evenings along the Garonne – you leave with a deeper understanding of Bordeaux and its wines, and plenty of reasons to return.

Alex was the most experienced, knowledgeable, and chilled tour guide of all the 5 tour guides we experienced. We learned a lot from him about the culture, history, and geology of the region. He also provided great context to understand the regions' wines. This tour to Cassis and the calanques was beautiful and would get a 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that this expensive tour did not include lunch. The wine tasting was good but I had better in Bordeaux and it included lunch.
