Traveler reviews
A Really Enjoyable Tour of the Highlands!
We had a really great time with Brendan and Bob! Both were incredibly knowledgeable about each destination, and each brought their wonderful sense of humor. We saw quite a bit of the highlands and Isle of Skye. We especially enjoyed the little stops along the way, like whisky ice cream at Pitlochry!
Great Tour with Brendan, Rosie and the Hairy Coos!
We originally were going to rent a car and drive the 500, but decided that driving may not have been the best choice for us with different side driving and roundabouts (nothing like the ones we have at home). Also, when someone else is driving, we BOTH enjoyed the views and heard amazing stories, folklore and explanations of things we never would have experienced. Our guide, Brendan, shared his passions and offered a wonderful perspective of his Scotland. He was so kind and had a great sense of humor. He also has a great singing voice which made me feel lucky for having him as our guide. Very sentimental. Awww… And can the man drive? We were in the coach bus “Rosie”. Brendan maneuvered Rosie as if they were old friends. They turned on a dime and gave 5 cents change. He was such an amazing driver that we were able to take the back roads of the countryside-you know-the ones with stone built walls on both sides that only one car can fit through…which was actually one of the things I was hoping to experience. And…we got to feed a hairy coo (highland cow)-and these coos love Brendan! Check out the picture! I got to do that too!!! Everything was seamless with Hairy Coos. There are a lot of tours out there. We were so happy to have gone in this one. We now have a friend for life! Thank you Brendan, Rosie and Hairy Coos! You made our trip!!!
Great Time on the Hairy Coo Bus Tour! Ian is a Great Driver/Guide!
It’s a wonderful ride, very scenic. The bus was comfortable, and also air conditioned. Our driver (Ian) was incredibly friendly and made our tour so much more enjoyable! He provided us with a lot of history and insight, and was incredibly patient with our slower fellow passengers. Ian gets 5/5 from me! The itinerary was great, very enjoyable bus tour. Thanks again, Ian!
Worth every penny and time spent.
The trip was amazing, fun and all about history lessons from the very enthusiastic and energetic tour guide cum driver "Mr. Brendan". He is a wholesome package with his wit, knowledge, storytelling abilities and humour. Would love to be part of his trip again in the near future. Thankyou The Hairy Koo for arranging such a smooth trip.
