Safari meets luxury

This place is AMAZING! The facilities, the service and the friendly staff are second to none. The game drives exceeded our expectations and we saw “the big 5” in our first two outings. We saw and learned so much more than we ever expected and definitely aim to return some day. Kapama River Lodge is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Fantastic experience

I was a bit nervous about this. My interaction with MoAfrika and it was completely by text over WhatsApp. If it wasn't for a few reviews I would not have booked it. So, I feel obligated to contribute a review. This was an excellent experience. They booked the air to Hoedspruit and greeted us upon arrival. The Kapama reserve is close to the airport, and the River Lodge is a beautiful and large resort. They greeted us on arrival and escorted us across the facility to our room. The River Lodge is not on a river—it's a dried riverbed, so the name is a little misleading, but that is not a concern. The Lodge is in the reserve, and windows look onto the plains. We saw large game from our room and dining table. The rooms are excellent, luxurious, and roomy. They are nicely furnished and have a large bath. Since they were all-inclusive, I was a bit worried about the food quality and buffet, but there was no need to worry. It wasn't a buffet; we had excellent meals and table service. The menu changed every meal, but the waiter remained the same. Cocktails are included. There were two pools and a very nice spa (spa services are not included). We had four safaris. Three couples in a 9-passenger cruiser. The first safari was the afternoon of arrival, 2 (sunrise and sunset) on the next day, and one sunrise safari on the last day. Excellent tracker and guide. We all the big five and many more animals. Every safari was totally different. We were pleased with everything —the hotel staff, the game staff, the location, the reserve, the meals, and the facility. Everything was well organized. Everything was four out of four stars.

Best Tour Operator in SA

I came across MoAfrika whilst looking for a tour operator to help us on our safari from Cape Town as part of a longer trip for our honeymoon. Lavender from start to finish was incredibly helpful and always responsive to my messages. She booked us onto the 2 day Kapama River Lodge flying from Cape Town and all was dealt with in a professional and prompt manner, answering my many questions at all times of day and being very patient when we kept changing our minds! As Lavender was so helpful we decided to also book the full day peninsula tour and also the township tour. All 3 tours were incredible, great value for money and handled excellently by the MoAfrika team - I can’t recommend them enough! If only we had more time in Cape Town, I think we would have asked them to take us everywhere they could! Thank you for making our honeymoon truly memorable!!

Treat yourself! You can't go wrong.

The experience was incredible and smooth from arrival. The location was right across from the airport [and the airport had impala and warthogs running around]. The drive to the lodge featured several animals, and at the camp gate a young bull elephant was eating away... Super start. The guide and team were wonderful and highly informative. Can't say enough great things about the experience. From food, accomodation, people... everything was as close to perfect as could be.
