Traveler reviews
Beguiling and life changing
Just returned from easily the best tour of my life and I couldn't wait to put words to this review. James is singly the most charismatic, knowledgeable guide I have ever met. His pride of the Highlands and Scotland beamed through charming anecdotes and historical depictions. James ushered us on a lovely journey through time and a truly breathtaking landscape that defies description. He joked about having a life changing experience but it actually became one. We all metamorphosed from tourists to our new job - returning to our various homes around the world to sing the praises of Scotland and Rabbie's Tours.
The BEST of Scotland!
Fingal’s Cave, Glencoe, and Iona all in one trip! Tom is an absolutely fantastic guide. He has an abundant knowledge of the area and made the trip enjoyable and entertaining. Beautiful weather and beautiful scenery. The Best of Scotland! Highly recommended!
Tour amazing but room not so much
The tour itself is a 5 star..the places we visited were amazing. Our host was great at making it such a memorable experience. The islands and additional trip to Staffa were a highlight of our trip. Based on those things the trip would have been a resounding FIVE but our accommodation was less than ideal. I would give it a 1 and although the hosts were wonderful it was essentially a small room in the attic without a ceiling fan or air conditioning. It had to be 90 degrees up there and we asked for a fan but they didn't have one and the window didn't have a screen so we had to choose between air and letting bugs in. In addition, everyone else had rooms right on the main road of the town and we had a 15 minute hike up a steep climb to get back and forth to our room. For how much we paid, the accommodation should have been nicer. So the tour is an absolute YES but I would secure your own accommodations.
Our guide did more than drive us around pointing out historic sights. Tom is a master storyteller and thoughtful leader
Tom was an awesome guide. He took great care of our group of 16 - keeping us safe & comfortable as we traveled by van and ferry across to the Isles of Mull and Iona. Tom is a talented storyteller. Closing my eyes while listening to Tom’s captivating stories of the past almost made me feel like I was there, experiencing the moments as he spoke in his lilting Scottish accent. He broke up the long journey with well timed tales, jokes and musical interludes. And, he delivered on all of our various requests - be it song requests, hunting down some highland cows, or taking pics of the infamous standing stones! Highly recommend!
Great trip
We have just come back from our trip to Mull and Iona and we had a great time. The bus was comfortable and Nick our driver was brilliant. He was so knowledgeable about everywhere we went giving loads of information but making it enjoyable. He is obviously a people person, very quickly learning everybody's name and making us feel like a team . Nothing was too much trouble, we can honestly say he made the trip special for all of us. Thank you Nick.
