Great Excursions blemished by Poor Tour Office Coordination
PROS: Desert Safari: 5 stars; AWESOME desert driving by guide Ratif Abu Dhabi tour: 4 stars; great Mosque & interesting history, rest unmemorable Dubai city tour: 3 stars; rushed hops through tourist highlights CONS: Overall very poor communications with customer on trip expectations. Our itinerary showed Day 1 Dubai city 9a-2p, Desert Safari 2p-9p; Day 2 Abu Dhabi tour 9a-6p. We had expected a single 2-day experience. It turned out these are 3 separate tours by 3 different guides, poorly coordinated despite from same company. Day 1: we had prepared for Dubai tour then Desert according to our itinerary, only to wait for guide being an hour late b/c he was told by his office the wrong hotel 30 min away. After pickup, we realized that we were headed to Abu Dhabi. No one communicated that switch with us beforehand. To be safe, we further confirmed with tour office that our Day 2 would still include Dubai tour and Safari. Day 2: our morning guide was almost 90 min late. After pickup, we found out the driver was a rushed substitute sent only after several calls/texts with office. Apparently our prior day confirmation was worthless. The city tour was rushed and truncated since 1.5 out of scheduled 5 hours already lost. SUMMARY: The individual excursions were good to excellent. I'd suggest booking them separately if your schedule allows and don't count on the tour company for a coordinated smooth experience of multiple excursions which we had hoped for due to limited time in Dubai.
Abu-Dhabi tour
I was travelling with my friend and we took an Abu-Dhabi tour with Amjad. He was very polite, very professional, had a great sense of humor, was very helpful, very informative, explained every important building of the capital, told us about UAE history. Meeting him was another memorable discovery in our journey. He's a very nice person to travel with, if u are thinking of booking an Abu-Dhabi tour, dont think much , just do it, and make sure u ask for Amjad as a tour guide, if u wanna have one of the sweetest and very comfortable tour to Abu-Dhabi 💯💯💯
