Waterbus Tour
We did the Waterbus tour. Aligned with many others. It was a decent experience. Maybe an opportunity for a little more dialogue around history of the area. All in all pleasant and were able to buy tickets right before.
Great cruise
Great tour, very relaxed but informative.
Well worth doing
Everything was great! Didn't get the captains name, chap maybe in his 60's, he was witty, informative, efficient and the while experience was brilliant. The lake and surrounding scenery is magnificent. For €17 each for nearly one hour (less for kids and pensioners), this is very good value.
Lake cruise
Nice 1 hour cruise on the lake. Guide was excellent in pointing out interesting places. Water was smooth and weather cooperated. Enjoyed this tour very much.
Didn’t seem to want any passengers
We tried to do this tour today at 2.30pm but were left stranded at the wharf. We were there at least 15 mins ahead, queuing where the sign indicated. A guy who worked with the boat snatched the sign and took it with him onto the boat and shut a gate about 10 mins prior to the scheduled departure. We expected he would come and get us when it was close to time, but no - they just took off at 2.25. We could then see they had 4 passengers on board. It was pretty obvious we were waiting to board. Really disappointing start to our stay in Killarney.
